BlogSavant is a new kind of company in the business of creating weblogs to enhance personal and corporate brands. We know that weblogs will not change the world - their authors will.

BlogSavant recognizes this opportunity, and has made it their mission to make it possible for corporations and individuals to engage in an unfiltered exchange of ideas, unencumbered by traditional technological barriers.

What's a Weblog?

Weblogs, or Blogs, are an online form of personal or public journal. They started out as general opinion sites, where a single author would comment on whatever topics he or she happened to encounter since the last entry. As blogging has grown over the past several years, many single and multi-topic blogs have emerged, particularly in the business world, giving a voice and personality to a corporation, the issues on a vertical industry or issue, or a particularly insightful consultant. Internet analysts estimate that millions of people blog, and more are starting new blogs by the hour.

More recently, major corporations have adopted weblogs as a mode of communication both internally, for the purposes of knowledge management and project-centric communication, and externally as a function of marketing or PR.

Started around 1998, weblogs have experienced near geometric growth. While considered obscure and highly personal in their infancy, weblogs have rapidly gained credence and credibility in late 2004 as a result of their prominence in the political realm and their divergence from the mainstream media coverage of current affairs.
